What You’ll Do as a Territory Manager Be the Customer Champion : Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team‑based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies to help customers succeed. Drive Sales Success : Your success will be measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business. Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your approach to individual customers. Team‑Based Selling : Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new account openings. Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery. Lead with Insight : Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, existing client leads, and industry trade shows. Delivery Resolution : Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department and troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process. Competitive Advantage : Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales. Share this information with customers as part of value‑added services provided. Stay on the Move : Drive your personal vehicle to conduct regular check‑ins, site visits, and follow‑ups to ensure customer satisfaction. Minimum Qualifications 1+ year of sales experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record in good standing. Foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities. Ability to build internal and external relationships and effectively cold‑call to develop new business. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals. Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and negotiation skills. A team‑up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Tech‑savvy – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools such as Salesforce is a plus.
