Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages, employing standardized measures and observational assessments.
• Design individualized treatment plans addressing both immediate objectives and ongoing communication or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions that encompass areas such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing disorders.
• Work in tandem with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to formulate comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic modalities to support their growth outside the clinic.
• Participate occasionally in inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain thorough and timely record-keeping that complies with all state and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay at the forefront of speech-language advancements.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
