Barista (Service Specialist)

POSITION: BARISTA (Service Specialist) REPORTS TO: UNIT MANAGER Starting Rate: $13.00 per hour plus tips General Description: Responsible to provide food, beverages and service to Guests at a level of quality that ensures their satisfaction and their desire to return. Qualification/Requirements: Solid product knowledge Barista Certification Able to resolve complaints and problems as they arise from customers and employees Take Barista test every 6 months Must be able and willing to mix, sell and serve approved alcoholic beverages to guests aged 21 and older uponrequest and verification of age requirement Desired Qualities and Characteristics: Above average communication skills. Leadership High sensitivity and ability to respond to Guest needs. Able to follow directions. High enthusiasm and desire to succeed. Creativity and high knowledge of drinks recipes and preparation Sincere desire for quality. Creativity and effective problem-solving skills. High level of comfort in "team" settings. Specific Responsibilities: Ensure that each Guest/Customerreceives outstanding Guest Service by providing a Guestfriendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Guestwith our Joffrey's greeting "WELCOME TO JOFFREY'S" maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of Guest Service. Controls shrink. Monitor and ensure the quality of all beverages and foods served in the unit. Possess a high degree of knowledge in explaining the origins, production and brewing of Joffrey's coffee products. Maintain and environment which communicates a mission to constantly meet Guest expectations. Follow procedures designed to meet standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Maintain all equipment and machinery in safe, efficient working order Observe standards of safety and security Maintain clear, responsive communication with the corporate office and appropriate multi-level persons. Perform other tasks as required. Willing and able to work at any Joffrey's Coffee location upon request. Essential Physical Requirements: Lifting – up to 50 pounds, Bending, Climbing, Pushing/pulling equipment Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system. Ability to communicate with associates and guests. Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation Ability to freely access all areas of the kiosks and theme parks including selling areas, stock area, and register area. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the kiosks. Ability to climb ladders. Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee kiosk operations. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Be able to stand weather elements and temperatures Be in compliance with the Disney look.
