Senior Quality Engineer (SDET - Data Analytics Platform)

Overview Location: Perimeter area, King and Queen / Concourse Pay: $150,000 - $170,000 plus a 10% bonus Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join a focused team responsible for testing and assuring the quality of a robust data analytics platform. This role requires deep expertise in automation testing, particularly with Python, Pytest, SQL, and possibly dbt, to support the development of high-quality data solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with data engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements, develop automation frameworks, and drive a culture of quality in a modern, cloud-based environment. This position is based near Atlanta, GA. Atlanta is ideal, but open to their other offices in Chicago, Connecticut, Boston and LA. Requirements Proven experience in automation testing, with a focus on Python and Pytest Strong SQL skills, with experience working with dbt preferred Knowledge of behavior-driven development (BDD) approaches (e.g., Cucumber, Gherkin) Hands-on experience with modern cloud data lakehouse technologies such as Databricks or Snowflake Ability to understand business data needs and translate them into test requirements Experience collaborating within agile Scrum teams Excellent attention to detail and a risk-based approach to testing Responsibilities Engage with stakeholders early to understand data requirements and convert them into test cases Develop and maintain automated tests to verify code quality and prevent regressions Build and expand automation frameworks to improve testing effectiveness and efficiency Collaborate with data engineers and quality engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage Participate in code reviews and foster a culture of continuous improvement Contribute to building a quality-first mindset across the organization Support CI/CD processes through integrated testing solutions using Azure Pipelines #J-18808-Ljbffr Prestige Staffing
