About the Role
The Company is seeking a Treasurer to oversee its complex and interconnected financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing cash, debt, and endowment activities across the system, including cash and banking management, endowment and non-endowed investment management, and the management of bond and commercial paper programs. This role requires a leader with a strong background in financial management, particularly in the areas of banking, debt, and investment. The Treasurer will be tasked with establishing and maintaining solid financial policies, procedures, and practices, as well as leading a team that works with credit rating agencies and manages relationships with financial advisors, bond counsel, and bond insurers. Applicants for the Treasurer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a financial field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 7 years of related work experience, including staff supervision. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record of leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a complex work environment. The Treasurer will also be responsible for mentoring and developing staff, driving process improvements, and ensuring the organization's financial operations are efficient and modernized. Success in this role will be measured by the candidate's ability to understand and articulate the company's financial functions, develop productive relationships with external partners, and identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements.
