QA Automation Engineer

Overview: Position: QA Automation Engineer Location: NYC or Remote Experience: 8+ Years Employment Type: Contract / C2H Job Description Summary Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks for web and mobile applications using Java and Selenium.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure CI/CD integration and "Push-on-Green" release quality.
- Execute testing in Agile environments, ensuring coverage and quality across sprints.
- Perform root cause analysis for complex bugs and drive continuous improvement in test automation practices.
- Mentor junior QA team members and enforce automation best practices.
- 8+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles.
- 5+ years of strong programming experience in Java-based automation .
- Hands-on expertise with Selenium , TestNG , and experience with Appium (preferred).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines .
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid exposure to mobile and web application testing .
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and guide teams on automation strategies.
