Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify communication and swallowing disorders

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and cognitive-communication deficits

• Provide speech therapy services to patients, including articulation, fluency, voice, language, and cognitive training

• Collaborate with other rehabilitation professionals, such as physical, occupational, and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive care

• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records

• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions

• Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in speech therapy

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited program

• Current licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Illinois

• Clinical fellowship completion (CF) or postgraduate experience in SLP

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds and abilities
