About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab Technician Assistant Profession: Tech Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift, rotating schedule Hours per Shift: 8 hours (Week 1: Mon-Fri 0700-1530; Week 2: Mon-Fri Call Coverage 1530-0700 & Sat/Sun 0700-0700) Experience: Minimum 2 years in a healthcare setting License: BLS Certifications: One of the following: RCIS, ARRT(VI), RTRCI Must-Have: - Patient preparation for cath lab procedures - Scrubbing procedures - Monitoring hemodynamic pressures - Clinical competency - Invasive cardiology process Description: The Cath Lab Technician Assistant will assist in preparing patients for cath lab procedures. Responsibilities include scrubbing procedures and monitoring hemodynamic pressures. The technician will demonstrate professional development and clinical competency. Utilizing the invasive cardiology process is essential in preparing the procedure room and patient for procedures. The technician will address health educational needs for patients, families, and other healthcare providers. Patient care assignments and organizational tasks related to patient and unit operations will also be managed. Knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions is required. Additional related duties may be performed as needed. The technician is expected to accept accountability for results. Continual improvement of care and service is essential. Demonstrating stewardship of resources is required. Every person must be treated with respect. Setting the standard for quality and caring is expected. Integrity in all actions is crucial for success.
