Job Details

We are seeking a motivated Estimator to join our Elgin, IL office. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn. You will play a key role in supporting project managers and preconstruction efforts by preparing accurate cost estimates and ensuring proposals are competitive and complete.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid proposals.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and documents to determine scope.
• Obtain and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate bids.
• Track historical cost data and assist in budget development.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and handoffs to project teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant estimating or construction experience (internships considered).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.
• A collaborative, detail-driven mindset with a passion for accuracy and efficiency.
