The Ready-Mix Mechanic will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and repair of trucks and equipment.

\n Responsibilities \n

\n

\n
• Service equipment according to a planned schedule and in a timely manner
\n
• Troubleshoot, repair and clean commercial trucks and equipment which may include removal of concrete buildup
\n
• Check, prioritize and repair equipment write-ups based on safety issues, customer service issues, PM issues and less critical issues
\n
• Keeps documentation on all repairs and consistently communicates status of downed vehicles to shop manager and dispatch
\n
• Assists in maintaining accurate parts inventory by keeping parts in their designated place and recording parts removed
\n
• Responsible for working in a safe manner, reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
\n
• Attends safety meetings as scheduled by management
\n
• Performs other related duties as assigned

High school diploma/GED

\n

\n Requirements/Qualifications \n

\n

\n
• Attendance (ability to work schedule) and punctuality are required
\n
• Must have own tools
\n
• Job requires the following motions: climbing, bending, squatting, lifting, stretching, driving, riding, twisting, pushing/pulling of controls and riding on rough terrain
\n
• Computer skills will be required for data entry of work orders
\n
• Experience in basic fabrication, use and application of welders and gas torch systems
\n
• Ability to lift up 75 lbs. up to 100 lbs.
\n
• Experience using hand and power tools
\n
• Diesel engine troubleshooting skills with various engine manufacturers
\n
• Experience performing preventative maintenance
\n
• Able to work both independently and part of a team
\n
• Can be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather
\n
• Work shifts will vary and may include overtime work; nights may be required
\n
• Must be able to work cooperatively with others
\n
• Must have a valid driver’s license
\n

Preferred:

\n
• Prior experience (3 years) in repairing Ready Mix trucks is preferred
\n
• CDL and heavy equipment experience a plus
\n

\n Conditions of Employment \n

\n

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
