Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an emergency medicine physician for a locum tenens assignment in El Paso, TX. This opportunity involves providing coverage in a free-standing emergency room setting with a focus on urgent care for diverse patient needs.

Opportunity Details

• Location: El Paso, Texas
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
• Setting: Free-standing emergency room with imaging and lab services
• Facility Address: 11201 Gateway Boulevard West, El Paso, TX 79935
• Scheduled Coverage: 24-hour physician shifts (12-hour shifts)
• Estimated Patient Volume: approximately 18,250 annually

Schedule Details

• Coverage Model: 24 hours per day via 12-hour shifts

Clinical Scope

• Emergency department with 11 beds
• Imaging and laboratory services available
• Duties include managing a high-volume ED with diverse presentations
• Documenting patient encounters and procedures aligned with facility protocols

Practice Environment

• EMR: Cerner
• Clinical experience required within the past 2 years in EM, FM, or IM
• Procedural and credentialing requirements specified in the facility documentation

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license and DEA with Texas address
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine
• Current ATLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Proof of recent EM/FM/IM clinical experience (within past 2 years)
• Immunizations: TB test within last 12 months, Hep B, MMR, Varicella/Titers, Tdap, Flu, Covid vaccines up to date
• Case log documentation from past 12 months
• Core privileges listed on the DOP
• Malpractice coverage: $1 million/$3 million
