What We Are Looking For

The Events Fine Dining Server is an integral part of the dining team and an ambassador of CORE: culture. Assigned to a specific station, this role guides our Members and guests through their experience with warm, attentive hospitality, exuding passion and command of our food, wine, and service. This position is on-call and non-tipped.

Responsibilities

• Go above and beyond thoughtfully, so Members know you are focused on extraordinary hospitality
• Maintain complete command of culinary and beverage menus, including ingredients, sides, presentation, and allergens
• Take Member and guest food and beverage orders, using salesmanship to make recommendations and upsell when appropriate
• Resolve guest concerns by finding a way to say yes, involving the Manager on Duty as needed
• Anticipate and fulfill a wide range of Member and guest needs, both food and beverage and beyond
• Execute proper steps of service, including table maintenance and resetting, with efficiency, speed, and grace
• Perform all routine and assigned opening, closing, and side work
• Provide attentive, professional, and welcoming service to an assigned section, assisting coworkers in other sections as needed
• Work with urgency and attention to detail
• Uphold the team's high standards of service, cleanliness, and appearance
• Champion the values, mission, and standards of CORE: New York

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of serving experience in New York restaurants, ideally in fine dining
• Passionate and knowledgeable about food, wine, beer, and spirits
• Ability to adapt and personalize service for each guest
• Experience with Aloha or a similar POS system
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work well under pressure — professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and courteous
• Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods without sitting
• Able to carry up to 30 lbs
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
