Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work setting while still engaging with patients in an outpatient office model. During a typical workweek from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, you will interact with team members and collaborate on patient care strategies while maintaining clear communication with remote tools. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ mental health needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations, specifying therapeutic goals and interventions necessary to foster healing and coping.
  • Engage actively with patients to provide support, addressing their concerns while implementing coping strategies tailored to their unique situations.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly, modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure effective care that responds to changes in patient circumstances.
  • Educate patients and their families about coping techniques for stress and trauma, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.
  • Coordinate with various healthcare providers, social services, and community resources to facilitate comprehensive patient support and ensure service continuity.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss case progress, share insights, and establish collective strategies for enhanced patient outcomes.
  • Maintain professional development through continuing education courses to retain National Certified Counselor certification and to stay current with mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with trauma injury patients who have experienced significant emotional and psychological challenges. This includes individuals recovering from acute traumatic experiences, chronic mental health issues, and various emotional disorders. By fostering a safe and supportive environment, you will empower these patients to engage in their healing process, develop effective coping mechanisms, and achieve their mental health goals.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
  • A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential is required.
  • At least three years of direct experience working with trauma patients and mental health interventions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to utilize technology effectively for patient record management and communication.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate engaging and supportive interactions with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is highly desirable, enhancing the efficiency of administration and patient documentation.
  • Previous experience in a remote or outpatient setting would be advantageous, contributing to a smooth transition into our organizational framework.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
