Position Overview:

The Dietary Aide provides assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. As a Dietary Aide, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and serving meals according to planned menus and residents' dietary needs.
• Assist with preparing food for therapeutic and texture-modified diets according to established guidelines.
• Serve meal trays, supplements, snacks, nourishments, and beverages according to residents' orders.
• Honor residents' food preferences while following their prescribed diet orders.
• Assist in checking diet trays before distribution to ensure meals are accurate and complete.
• Deliver meal trays, food carts, and dietary items to designated areas.
• Wash, clean, and properly store dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dietary areas.
• Prepare, label, and deliver nourishments and other dietary items as instructed.
• Assist with stocking food and supplies and ensuring items are properly stored.
• Coordinate with dietary and nursing staff and implement recommended changes as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or similar healthcare setting preferred, but not required.

We're hiring a Per Diem Dietary Aide who is flexible and available to work both AM and PM shifts.
