You will work closely with clients, providing strategic legal advice, representing them in court, and ensuring successful outcomes in various types of disputes.Key responsibilities include managing and overseeing all phases of litigation, including case assessment, strategy development, discovery, trial preparation, and trial. You will represent clients in state and federal courts, administrative hearings, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Take and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses for testimony. Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations to resolve disputes favorably for clients. Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and develop effective legal strategies. Provide counsel and advice to clients on potential legal risks and issues. Mentor and supervise junior associates and paralegals, providing guidance and support in their professional development. Participate in business development activities, including client meetings, presentations, and networking events. Stay current with developments in the law and maintain a deep understanding of procedural and substantive aspects of litigation.Qualifications include a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, admission to the Florida state bar and in good standing, minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a strong track record of handling complex cases, proven ability to manage all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution, exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills, strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships, ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.Preferred qualifications include experience in commercial litigation, class actions, and multi-district litigation, background in managing large-scale discovery and eDiscovery processes, demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.What we offer includes competitive compensation, rapid career growth and succession opportunities, commitment to learning and development, an atmosphere of camaraderie and collaboration, competitive benefits, and paid parental leave.Losey PLLC is an equal opportunity employer.
