Diesel Mechanic

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and large industrial equipment. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in demanding industrial environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle and equipment systems to identify mechanical and electrical issues
• Consult with management and review work orders to determine required repairs
• Scope issues thoroughly and prepare appropriate work plans
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, and other related components
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety
• Work performed outdoors/indoors in all weather conditions
• Exposure to extreme temperatures and noisy environments
• Heavy lifting and work around large machinery
• Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid DL (CDL preferred)
• Acceptable driving record
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check in accordance with company and customer site requirements
• Ability to pass pre-employment, random, and annual drug screenings
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle systems, and repair equipment
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and diesel engine mechanisms
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed
• Must be safety-conscious with a strong work ethic
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
