Job Title: BAS Technician (+$100,000/Yr)

Job Description

This role focuses on delivering advanced building automation and control solutions within data center environments. You will program and support building management systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate closely with customers to design and implement effective control strategies for mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Program building automation and management systems, including developing and implementing graphics (GFX) and control sequences.

• Interpret and program sequences of operations (SOO) to ensure building systems operate efficiently and reliably.

• Serve as a technical expert for building management systems (BMS), diagnosing and resolving complex automation and control issues.

• Support data center projects by configuring and maintaining building automation systems to meet operational and reliability requirements.

• Utilize N4 platforms to program, integrate, and optimize building automation solutions.

• Participate in customer meetings to understand requirements, explain technical options, and propose solutions for complex mechanical and control systems.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure automation solutions align with project specifications and performance expectations.

• Document programming logic, sequences of operations, and configuration changes for future support and maintenance.

• Provide guidance and technical support to stakeholders on the operation and optimization of building automation systems.

Essential Skills

• At least 5 years of experience working with sequences of operations (SOO) for building automation or building management systems.

• At least 5 years of experience in programming building automation systems using line or block programming.

• Hands-on experience with N4 platforms, with N4 certification strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in building automation systems and building management systems (BMS).

• Experience supporting automation systems in data center environments.

• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex BMS and control system issues.

• Ability to participate in customer meetings and clearly communicate technical solutions for complex mechanical systems.

• Solid understanding of automation systems, building automation, and environmental control systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with graphics (GFX) programming for building automation interfaces.

• Experience in designing or implementing control strategies for mechanical systems.

• Familiarity with data center operational requirements and reliability standards.

• Strong documentation skills for sequences of operations and programming logic.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments across different sites.

Work Environment

You will be based out of an office in the Chantilly, VA area and will regularly travel within the Virginia region to support customer sites, with the possibility of national travel approximately once every six months. The work centers on data centers and facilities equipped with building automation systems and building management systems, including N4-based platforms and associated control hardware. The environment combines office-based programming and planning with on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer interaction. Travel flexibility and comfort working in both office and data center settings are important aspects of this role.

This is a Permanent position based out of Springfield, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
