Responsibilities

• Set-up, adjust and operate CNC control punch plasma to cut parts to print specifications.
• Load and unload sheets steel and sorting parts.
• Change and adjust tooling and consumables on production equipment as required.
• Inspect parts per print specifications, using inspection table and basic inspection tools.
• Move raw material & parts using a lift truck, jib crane, bridge crane, and material carts as required.
• Follow routings, work instructions, and control plans to ensure parts are produced to print specifications.
• Notify Supervisor or Group Leader of any safety, quality, or production issues that may occur.
• Train other operators as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Must be able to stay stationary/traverse 10 hrs. per shift.
• Frequently balance and push/pull. Occasionally bend, squat, reach above shoulder level. Frequent lifting and carrying from 0 to 40 lbs. Must be able to see, hear, use a foot pedal, and do simple but firm grasping with both hands on a repetitive basis.
• Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to vibration, dust, solvents, grease, and oil. Must be able to work safely in areas of lift truck traffic.
• Read blueprints and understand basic math, including fractions, decimals, and angles.
• Must have mechanical inclination. Must be able to remember, observe, and solve problems.
