Event Marketing Associate

Event Marketing Associate Based in Homestead, FL, the Event Marketing Associate will support the Event Marketing Department in promoting Homestead‑Miami Speedway events, increasing community awareness, supporting grassroots marketing initiatives, and enhancing fan engagement. Internship Details Dates: June 29, 2026 – October 30, 2026. Hours: 7hours per day, 3 days per week, variable schedule including weekends. Responsibilities Assist with community engagement initiatives throughout Miami‑Dade, Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties. Research and identify community events, festivals, networking opportunities, schools, colleges, and organizations for Speedway participation. Support planning and execution of promotional events, activations, and grassroots marketing campaigns. Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of marketing activations. Represent the Speedway at community events, festivals, sporting events, and promotional appearances. Assist with fan engagement activities and lead generation efforts. Help distribute promotional materials and ticket offers. Capture photo and video content at Speedway and community events. Assist with creating content ideas for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X. Support social media campaigns by identifying trends and local content opportunities. Assist with influencer and content creator outreach. Assist in completing promo items inventory. Assist with the organization of marketing storage spaces and fleet. Assist with maintaining event calendars and marketing schedules. Record marketing data. Assist with special projects as assigned. Events to include (examples): Track Business Connection – August20 Potential Wynwood Fan Fest & Wynwood Art Wall Car show at the Track in collaboration with D&I – September TBD MDC Animal Services and Driver Encounter with waived adoption fees – CollabTBD FIU & MDC – Activations in collaboration with D&I – TBD NRE Media Day & Open House – October15 Race to the Fourth – 15‑20K attendees Collab with OBC visiting 12‑15 school pep rallies in August–September MDCPS District Collab – Racing Decorations for all MDCPS Schools Sporting events: InterMiami, Miami Heat, College Football & NFL Qualifications Minimum 21 years of age and a clean driving record. Current enrollment or recent graduate in Marketing, Sports Management, or Hospitality Management. Strong work ethic, willingness to learn event activations, logistics, and marketing strategies. Self‑motivated and able to thrive in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment. Detail‑oriented with exceptional communication skills (telephone and in‑person). Ability to work long, flexible hours, including major event weekends and evenings. Adherence to department and facility policies and procedures. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Team player, self‑starter, aggressive, and professional. Physical ability to lift over 50lbs.
