Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Special Education (IL SPED) certification required
• Experience in school settings preferred
• Prior work with self-contained or early childhood classrooms is highly desirable

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and families
• Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively

Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction and classroom management for a self-contained Kindergarten class
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the needs and abilities of each student
• Implement and monitor IEPs, maintaining compliance with all regulations
• Employ a range of instructional strategies, interventions, and accommodations
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers
• Actively participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
