Job PostingRegions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.This unit is a newly opened 12 private bed med-surg unit focused on inpatient medical surgical and cardiac telemetry patients. Therefore, our unit provides a widespread knowledge and experience base for our nurses.We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient's bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Our award-winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. We are proud of the care we give each and every patient.Work Schedule: 0.70 Nights. Mix of 8 and 12 hour shifts; every 3rd weekend rotation.Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experienceInternal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in NursingLicensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota -CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers -Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgroundsPreferred Qualifications:BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hireOne year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferredICU RN experience is strongly preferredBenefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
