Systems Administrator Junior

COLSA Corporation is seeking a Junior System Administrator in support of Marine Corps Information Operations Center (MCIOC) in Quantico, VA. This work supports USMC Operational Forces. General duties for the System Administrator include providing design, installation, testing, and sustainment of the MCIOC communication nodes, automated systems, and associated equipment. Job Specific Duties Assist with the installation, testing and sustainment of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-N), Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-S), Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS), and other networks. Identify system problems due to system component connections and notify appropriate Network Owner for problem resolution. Sustain engineering support of network systems. Assist Government personnel with the installation design, new cabling, equipment, associated hardware and software to extend and enhance existing services. Establish new user accounts, configuration & support for laptops, and the configuration/adjustment/maintenance of commercial cell phone assets and remote email services, assist users with remote/VPN access. Arrange and coordinate with hardware maintenance personnel for the repair of Network IT equipment. Troubleshoot and assist with software and hardware problems for Domain Users. Assist in maintaining the Configuration Baseline for Laptops and Workstations. Assist in maintenance and inventory of VoIP Phones, STE Phones, VTC’s, Printers, and Audio Visual Equipment. Test and document components for communications architectures. Assist Government personnel with administration of the network storage arrays and Email Archiving System. Support the Microsoft Systems Update Server (SUS) and Systems Management Server (SMS). Assist Government personnel with administration Network Fiber Channel Routers and switches. Operate and maintain network management systems to include. Assist Government personnel in the upkeep, organization and cleanliness of spaces. Assist Government personnel with engineering and design requirements for Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes to include Authority to Operate (ATO) development and security requirements. Assist Government personnel in updating section operating procedures. Assist Government personnel in escorting information technology and audiovisual professionals. Required Qualifications Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience Minimum of three years’ work-related experience CompTIA Security+CE certification Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs Active DoD TS/SCI clearance or eligibility granted within past 2 years US Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications Basic working knowledge of RMF design and engineering requirements The following Microsoft certifications: Exam MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator) and Exam MD-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator) Familiarity with Marine Corps networks including but not limited to; Enterprise Network (MCEN-N), Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-S), and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS) Experience with installation, design new cabling, equipment and associated hardware and software Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
