Overview R10089476 Diesel Mechanic (Open) Location: La Porte, TX - 11426 Fairmont Pkwy - Bulk cryo logistics Responsibilities Sunday - Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Repair and maintain diesel tractors and specialized systems to meet DOT standards and safety protocols. Implement creative solutions to ensure smooth equipment flow and translate maintenance reports into actionable service strategies. Partner with the team to communicate technical needs clearly while fostering a Safety First environment focused on proactive maintenance. Qualifications Required 2+ years of tractor-trailer maintenance/mechanical experience Experience with a variety of basic hand, power tools and equipment Ideally, own basic hand tools Knowledgeable in gasoline engine mechanics and preventative maintenance Valid Driver's License (non CDL) Preferred High school diploma or GED; two years technical college or military technical experience Familiarity or interest in cryogenics Familiarity or interest in hydraulics Class A CDL with HazMat; DOT brake certification is a plus (Not Required) Benefits Airgas offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability insurance, EAP, pre-tax commuter benefits, parental leave, vacation, sick time, floating holidays, jury duty and paid holidays for eligible full-time employees. 401(k) with company match, tuition assistance, and scholarships are available.
