Assistant General Manager — Maretta

Maretta is a neighborhood restaurant in the East Village with a kitchen rooted in Northern Italian cooking .

We’re entering a new season and looking for an Assistant General Manager to help lead the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.

Our menu is tight, seasonal, and changes often, with a focus on fresh pasta made in house, small plates, seasonal ingredients, and simple, thoughtful cooking , alongside a natural wine-focused beverage program .

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Warm, confident, and genuinely hospitality-driven
• Experienced in a quality, full-service restaurant
• Comfortable leading and motivating a small FOH team
• Strong on the floor and present during service
• Organized and attentive to the details of daily operations
• Knowledgeable and passionate about natural wine
• Comfortable with training, opening/closing procedures, and service standards
• Able to work closely with both FOH and BOH

This is a hands-on position for someone who loves restaurants, food and natural wine, and wants to grow with a small, independently operated neighborhood restaurant.
