Intake Sales Specialist 1 - Lafayette, LA

Opportunity We are looking for a highly-motivated Intake Specialist to set the bar high for effective client communication and increase case sign‑ups. The Intake Sales Specialist 1 role primarily focuses on answering incoming calls for our seven offices and following up on leads for potential clients, without engaging in cold calling. This position is ideal for an empathetic, self‑starter with expertise in both sales and customer‑service roles. The schedule is: 9:30 am – 6:00 pm Monday‑Thursday, and 9:30 am – 5:00 pm Friday. Compensation is competitive with incentive potential based on meeting key performance indicators (KPIs). Responsibilities Accountable to process intake leads and non‑lead calls in a professional manner. Answer non‑lead phone calls and forward to the appropriate team member. Phone and email leads. Enter all assigned leads from various sources into Litify as “Intakes.” Review status categories daily (Open, Working, Under Review, Pending Sign Up, Contract Signed, Chase) to ensure leads convert to sign‑ups and rejections are noted quickly. Provide excellent service by utilizing the 5‑Step script for all inbound and outbound calls and maintain an “Effective” rating on the Call Quality Evaluation Scorecard and Monthly Performance Scorecard. Accountable to facilitate intake sign‑up, referral, and rejection steps for all assigned leads. Sign‑ups: review details with potential new client, verify contact information, confirm parties involved, set expectations, show empathy, and aim to close the first call. Referrals: enter details accurately, follow up with referral partners, and track acceptance or rejection. Rejections: document in Litify and send letters promptly. Accountable to assist fellow Intake Specialists as needed. Assist co‑workers with decision making, research, and coverage of phones or reception duties. Provide ideas and suggestions for the intake process or the firm. Embrace new processes and maintain a positive attitude toward change. Required Skills & Abilities Typing speed of 50 WPM with 95% accuracy. Excellent oral communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Confidentiality and strong judgment. Problem analysis and problem‑solving. Professionalism. Teamwork. Willingness to perform any or all tasks assigned by attorneys, supervisors, or firm leadership. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in data entry and management. 1‑3years of customer service or call‑center experience preferred. Previous experience within legal, medical, or insurance industry preferred. Spanish speaking skills are a plus. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
