Youth Ministry Director

Description St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and School, a vibrant parish of more than 3,000 families in a beach community, is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministry. The youth minister plans and leads a comprehensive catechetical youth ministry program with various components.
The youth minister will organize middle and high school youth events, including service opportunities and social activities, while also organizing and encouraging participation in diocesan and other youth events. The youth minister recruits and engages adult volunteers to participate in events, supervising staff and/or volunteers, including program leaders and support staff. The youth minister will also join the Pastor and Director of Religious Education in teaching 8th Grade religion at the parish school monthly. Requirements The applicant must be a practicing Catholic in good standing. A bachelor's degree in theology or religious studies is encouraged. Professional ministry experience is required. The candidate must be a good team player with excellent relationship building, communication, leadership and administrative skills. The salary will follow diocesan guidelines based on experience and education
