Performs direct patient care and clinical flow per guideline or policy.

Creates and maintains a professional and patient-centered environment that is in accordance with NAH behavioral expectations, mission, and vision.

Prepares patients for the medical provider examination by preparing the chart, performing vitals and intake and assisting the patient with completion of any instructions or forms.

Assists with exam or procedures and performs specimen collection / phlebotomy and medication administration duties per guidelines.

Adheres to test tracking guidelines and communicates results to patients per medical provider instruction.

Maintains a complete medical record for all patients to include the reason for and clinical care given at time of visit, inclusion of all forms, test results, collaborating provider / facility communication, and communication to and from the patient.

Performs other administrative office duties as needed, to include patient registration, insurance verification and authorization, referral generation and obtainment, and phone and fax / message management.

Ensures the privacy and confidentiality of all patient related information and complies with all aspects of HIPPA and privacy standards.

Maintains department orderliness and cleanliness and complies with infection control and all applicable safety standards.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.

CPR certification.

Qualifications:

Technical/other training or better.

CMA - Cert Med. Assist.

CPR - Cardio Pulm Resus
