Psychiatry Opportunity – Alpena, MI Quick Facts

• Location: Alpena, Michigan

• Practice Mix: 65% Outpatient / 35% Inpatient
• Schedule: Monday–Friday outpatient with shared inpatient and call responsibilities

Availability

• Full-time employed position
• Monday–Friday outpatient clinic
• Inpatient rotation approximately 1 week every 3 weeks
• Shared call rotation, including holiday coverage
• Telepsychiatry opportunities available

Licenses & Certifications Required

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Michigan medical license
• BLS Certification

Practice Details

• Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients
• Outpatient medication management and follow-up care
• Participation in Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
• Telemedicine visits
• Emergency Department psychiatric consultations
• Inpatient psychiatric admissions, evaluations, and discharges
• Average inpatient census of 8–10 patients
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team with:
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Advanced Practice Providers
  • Inpatient APP support
  • Social Workers
  • Patient Care Navigators
  • Telehub first-call night APP support
• Opportunity to customize patient panel based on interests and expertise
