The unit has 13 operating rooms. There are over 81 FTE staff members on the unit. The unit operates under Trauma II designation with 24-hour staff coverage. Staffing includes a charge nurse, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, and sitters on day shifts. Patient ratios vary based on the shift. The unit utilizes electronic medical records with EPIC software. Candidates must have experience with robotic surgical procedures. Vascular experience is preferred but not mandatory. Typical procedures performed in this unit include a wide range of surgeries, except for certain complex cases. Flexibility is essential for this role. Call shifts may be required, approximately 3 to 6 per month.
