Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states. This assignment is located in Santa Fe, NM at a hospital facility. Candidates must be able to perform high-complexity testing and carry out microbiology responsibilities independently.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent required.
• Certification required: CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP), MLS-M, or equivalent certification as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist that meets CLIA '88 requirements for high complexity testing.
• Experience in microbiology and ability to work solely in microbiology required.
• Laboratory equipment operation skills required.
• Must read and write English and communicate effectively.
• Prefer one year of general laboratory experience.
• May be required to move laboratory supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds and work more than a standard shift as workload dictates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience with routine exposure controls and bloodborne pathogen safety preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 08:30 - 17:00.
• Work days include Saturday; schedule includes Tuesday through Saturday.
• Weekend requirement: Saturdays required.
• Floating requirement: May need to adjust schedule according to candidate skill set and float to other locations as needed.
