Physical Therapist - Pelvic Health

Description Optimal Physical Therapy is seeking two full‑time Pelvic Health Physical Therapists with a clinical interest and passion in Pelvic Rehab/Women's and Men’s Health to join our growing team of Pelvic Health PT specialists. Optimal Physical Therapy opened in 2011 as an outpatient private practice owned and operated by physical therapists, serving the Amarillo Metro and Texas Panhandle. With two locations, the newest custom‑designed facility houses the pelvic health team. We emphasize personalized, hands‑on treatments in a family‑oriented environment and are experiencing tremendous growth in all programs, especially Pelvic Health. Job Responsibilities Our ideal candidate will have at least one year of clinical experience treating Women’s Health and Pelvic Rehab cases and completion of Pelvic Floor Level 1 & 2 training through the APTA Women’s Health Section, Herman & Wallace or similar. We consider new graduates with a Level 1 Pelvic Rehab course, a clinical internship, and experience providing direct internal assessment and treatment in Pelvic Rehab/Women’s and Men’s Health. Prior orthopedic and sports medicine experience and proficiency in manual therapy interventions to the spine, hip, and pelvic girdle are a plus. Experience with pregnancy‑related MSK dysfunction is highly desired. Caseload includes, but is not limited to, pre‑ and post‑partum diagnoses, pelvic pain, painful bladder syndrome/IC, urinary incontinence, hip labrum pathology, SIJ dysfunction, colorectal conditions/chronic constipation, pain after hernia repair, pelvic organ prolapse, and diastasis recti management. State Physical Therapy licensure required. General Physical Therapy, Sports, and Industrial Medicine experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a friendly, professional manner with patients and physicians. Strong organizational skills and ability to accurately document information for billing purposes. Physical Demands Computer experience in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing preferred. Requires high‑level visual and auditory acuity for participating in and monitoring patient care activities. Ability to move frequently throughout the facility; ability to walk or stand at least 5 hours a day; occasional overhead and low reaching; demonstrates ability to lift and/or carry over 40 pounds regularly; ability to push/pull over 50 pounds regularly; and ability to sit for long periods.
