About the Position

Job Title

Level II Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Float

Location

New York, NY

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Includes Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Callback | No Straight Shift Schedules

Key Responsibilities

• Provide competent, patient-centered care in a Medical Surgical float capacity based on established clinical standards
• Operate under the direction of the Nurse Manager while maintaining accountability for assigned patient outcomes
• Assume an expanded role as needed, including charge nurse , preceptor, and committee member responsibilities per unit needs
• Uphold service excellence and contribute to professional development, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License required (NY License ONLY)
• Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association ONLY)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior float pool or multi-unit nursing experience
• Experience in a charge nurse or preceptor role
