Quality Control Inspector

Qualifications: Understanding and use of the \"hands-on\" inspection equipment used for product verification (micrometers, calipers, comparators, height stands, etc.), accuracy (The 10% rule) and repeatability (Margin of error). Has a minimum of 5 years' experience or equiv in a manufacturing environment performing product verification activities. Good Communication and Reporting Skills. Understands GD&T and the blueprint map, as it relates to product verification activities. Can organize and prioritize job related duties and have the ability to work independently. Duties & Expectations: Support final and receiving inspection requirements such as Visual/Dimensional verification of product. Back up for ballooning/FAIR reporting/documentation support and copulation, as required during overload situations. Manual setup verification activities other than Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). Repetitive inspection duties such as sorting - larger sample sizes. Review of product in-process on the floor during fabrication. Reporting out of tolerance conditions, assist with the investigation activities and communication to the shop floor. Assist with gage R&R and Capability activities, as required. Perform related tasks as assigned by the Director of Quality. Maintain a positive attitude and punctuality. Keep clean and organized work area. Willing to work in a team environment. Identify when applicable, continuous improvement of processes and understand the contribution to the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS).
