Details Pediatric ICU unit within a hospital setting Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours) CVICU and NICU experience preferred Level 1 trauma experience preferred Cares for pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex Requirements Active RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) BLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors Additional Information Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric patients Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and notes changes in physician orders Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments Monitors physiological data and intervenes as necessary Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible Full date of birth and SSN required for consideration Facility strictly enforces credentialing and compliance deadlines with no push starts allowed American Traveler Job ID P-765265.
