Avionics Systems Engineer

Our client, an aerospace technology company, is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer to join their team. As an Avionics Systems Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting avionics platform and aircraft systems integration teams. The ideal candidate will have creativity, sound judgment, and strong planning skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Avionics Systems Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)

Pay Range: $58.12 - $62.19/hr

What's the Job?

• Develop, integrate, and verify Aircraft State and/or Aircraft Systems monitoring and synoptics applications for the Next Generation Avionics Platform.

• Support systems and software requirements development, validation, integration, and verification activities.

• Perform model-based systems design using tools such as Simulink.

• Develop ARINC 661 graphics, preferably using Scade.

• Integrate and interface with aircraft systems including flaps, landing gear, cabin pressure, FADEC, and navigation-related sensors.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 4-6 years of experience in systems engineering or a related area.

• Experience with systems/software requirements development, validation, integration, or verification.

• Experience with model-based systems engineering and embedded or avionics systems.

• Experience with aircraft navigation sensors (Air Data, AHRS, GPS) and aircraft system interfaces.
