Pharmacy Technician 2
Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Essential functions include accurately preparing and distributing all doses of medication, including parenteral doses, delivering medications and related products to defined patient care areas, and maintaining drug inventories. Accurately maintain required records, logs, and other documents.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
License/Registration: Registered Pharmacy Technician issued by Florida Certification CPhT- Pharmacy Technician Certification
Work Experience and Additional Information: Two years of experience in a hospital or health system required. One year prior pharmacy technician experience required.
