Position Overview The Rooms Manager (Housekeeping) reports to the Director of Housekeeping and oversees all property operations, ensuring the highest levels of hospitality and service. The manager represents the hotel in resolving guest‑related situations, liaises between housekeeping and front office to guarantee quality service, and upholds hotel health and safety guidelines including NYC Health Department and OSHA standards, overseeing safety, security, satisfaction, and well‑being of guests and colleagues. Responsibilities Act with honesty and integrity in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment. Daily duties include: assigning housekeeping boards, maintaining accurate assignment records, inspecting guest rooms, public spaces, and offices; monitoring potential problems or malfunctions and making on‑the‑spot corrections; coordinating with other managers to deliver special services to selected guests. During shifts, maintain lobby, guest rooms, hallways, and front‑area appearances. Receive and resolve guest complaints to customer satisfaction. Manage departmental scheduling based on forecasted business levels and payroll. Review supplies, manage inventory, and handle all training for team members, including but not limited to Hyatt Compliance Training, Sexual Harassment, OSHA, Service and Cleanliness Trainings, and monthly meetings. Support and enforce compliance with all company brand standards. Complete closing duties—review status of assignments, complete follow‑up actions, and ensure the house is set to maximize sales each night. Salary $70,000 - $75,000 Annually Qualifications A warm and hospitable personality with a drive to assist others. Ability to work collaboratively across all departments of a fast‑paced luxury hotel. Minimum of two years of previous Front Office/Housekeeping management experience in a luxury or lifestyle hotel. A college degree in hospitality or related field. Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to accurately compute and manipulate mathematical calculations. Proficient knowledge of systems used on property including Windows, OPERA PMS, Kronos, Rex, Birchstreet, and HotSOS. Availability to work varied schedules, including AM, PM, overnight, weekends, and holidays. Previous experience with NYC unions is desirable. Ability to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Capability to grasp, bend, stoop; push or pull heavy loads up to 75 lbs. and lift or move packages, boxes, and luggage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
