Job Description As a Security Officer Front Desk in Springfield, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a government location, you will provide a welcoming, professional presence while monitoring access, greeting visitors, verifying credentials, and supporting security-related procedures. You will communicate clearly with employees, guests, and public-facing personnel, help to deter incidents through visible awareness, and deliver exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.65 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMTue04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSun08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service at a front desk within a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records in accordance with site policies. Monitor entry activity, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response procedures. Assist employees, visitors, and government personnel with directions, access questions, and other front-desk support while helping to deter unauthorized entry. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
