Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced hospital emergency department. Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, treat, and discharge adult and pediatric patients efficiently and compassionately.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and prioritize incoming emergency patients promptly and accurately.
  
  
• 
  Administer treatments, procedures, and medications in accordance with hospital protocols.
  
  
• 
  Communicate clearly with patients and families, providing detailed discharge instructions.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities thoroughly using the MEDITECH system.
  
  
• 
  Maintain readiness by adhering to unit policies, including certification and dress code standards.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Ability to perform advanced procedures such as intubations, lumbar punctures, and closed reductions.
  
  
• 
  Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach.
  
  
• 
  Ability to assess, treat, and manage adult and pediatric emergency patients effectively.
  
  
• 
  Flexibility to work every other weekend with 12-hour shifts.
