The Opportunity


This is an exceptional opening for a Tax Senior - or a recently promoted Tax Manager - to join a highly respected public accounting firm with a loyal, sophisticated client base and a clear path toward advancement. The firm is actively growing its tax team and has a particular interest in candidates with High Net Worth (HNW), Trust, and Estate experience.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
• Work with High Net Worth individuals and complex multi-state engagements
• Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients
• Serve as a primary point of contact for client communications
• Mentor and develop junior staff members
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously
• Identify opportunities to improve engagement efficiency and client outcomes

What We're Looking For


Required:

• 5 years of public accounting tax experience
• Active CPA or EA designation
• Strong individual tax preparation background with review experience
• Excellent client-facing communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in Richmond, VA

Highly Preferred:

• High Net Worth (HNW) tax experience
• Trust & Estate tax experience
• Multi-state tax exposure
• Experience mentoring or reviewing junior staff work

Technical Skills:

• Thomson Reuters Tax Suite
• QuickBooks (Desktop & Online)
• Advanced Excel

Workload & Busy Season


Tax preparation and review are split approximately 50/50. Busy season hours typically run 55-60 hours per week. The office environment is collaborative, with managers and coaches readily accessible for support.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
