Associate Litigation AttorneyAn established mid-size litigation firm in the Denver Tech Center is seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. The firm represents clients across a wide range of complex matters, including Arbitration & Mediation, Bad Faith, Commercial Litigation, Construction, Creditors' Rights & Bankruptcy, Directors & Officers Liability, Employment, Fidelity & Surety, Insurance Coverage, Oil & Gas, Personal Injury, Products Liability, Professional Liability, and Tort Defense.This is an opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take ownership of cases while working alongside a busy, collaborative team. The firm is not hiring for a fixed headcount but is seeking the right candidate who brings strong litigation experience and aligns well with its culture.The ideal candidate will have hands-on litigation experience and be comfortable managing cases from inception through resolution. This role offers significant responsibility and client interaction, with opportunities to handle all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit analysis, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances.Key Responsibilities:Manage all phases of litigation from case inception through resolutionConduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documentsTake and defend depositionsDraft and argue dispositive motionsAttend hearings in state and federal courtsHandle written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requestsCollaborate with clients, experts, and colleagues to develop case strategyProvide case analysis, risk assessments, and strategic recommendationsRequired Qualifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school2-10 years of litigation experience in any practice area (excluding family law and criminal-only backgrounds)Demonstrated experience with core litigation tasks (depositions, motion practice, court appearances)Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environmentSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent attention to detail and sound professional judgmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Experience (Not Required):Experience in insurance-related litigation, including coverage disputes, bad faith, personal injury, construction defect, or premises liabilityExposure to any of the firm's core practice areas listed aboveExperience drafting coverage opinions or conducting examinations under oathLicensure & Additional Requirements:Active license to practice law in Colorado (or ability to obtain)Comfortable using legal technology and case management systemsProfessional, client-focused, and team-oriented mindsetCreative, solutions-oriented approach with a positive attitudeWhy Join:This role offers the chance to work on diverse and sophisticated litigation matters across multiple industries, with the autonomy to manage your own caseload while being supported by an experienced and highly active team.
