Housekeeper (Full Time Position)

La Amistad Behavioral Health Services is seeking a housekeeper for a full-time position. The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean environment on all the residential units, the learning center, the multi-purpose building, and the administrative offices. Essential job duties include cleaning residential rooms and baths, ensuring all patient areas are disinfected and meet property standards, handling linens and personal clothing items in accordance with appropriate infection control policies, disposing of trash daily, vacuuming all carpets daily, and demonstrating service excellence with internal and external customers. The housekeeper will also wash windows, inside and outside of facilities, complete detail cleaning daily, and follow hazardous materials procedures for infectious diseases. They will attend and participate in all departmental meetings.

Qualifications: High School education or GED preferred. Minimum one (1) year in a healthcare environment preferred. Skills include operating mechanical equipment used in the laundry and housekeeping department, reading, writing, and following instructions. Physical requirements include the ability to walk, stand, stoop, and climb for periods up to eight (8) hours.
