Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and support patients through all stages of labor and delivery
• Circulate in the Labor and Delivery OR as required by unit needs
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Float between facilities within the state as needed to support unit staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
• Active California RN license in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Ability to circulate and perform sterile vaginal exams
• Must not be a first-time travel nurse

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Experience in a large acute care hospital setting highly preferred
• Familiarity with Epic EMR charting system
