Senior Accountant

Our client, an investment management firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team and support both corporate accounting and investment-related accounting activities. 

Location:
Danville, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule. 

Job Description:
This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, and operational accounting within a dynamic investment environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while partnering closely with finance leadership. 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Assist with annual audits and support external reporting requirements
• Perform bank reconciliations, cash management activities, and cash flow forecasting
• Manage accounts payable and employee expense reporting processes
• Support consolidations and accounting activities across affiliated entities
• Assist with investment-related accounting activities, including capital activity, allocations, and reporting support
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling initiatives
• Support special projects and assist with various operational finance and accounting initiatives as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• 4 years of accounting experience in public accounting, investment management, financial services, or a related industry
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software and reporting tools
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
