Emergency Medicine Physicians Needed

We are seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for locum tenens coverage at the main hospital and the brand-new Freestanding Emergency Department's (FSED's) which opened in Summer 2024 in Bradenton, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of newly launched, state-of-the-art facilities providing high-quality emergency care to Manatee County and surrounding communities. Locums provider MUST have ATLS as a minimum. Additionally, they can only be EM trained and boarded as they will work with EM residence at the main as well.

Position Details:

• Start Date: Summer 2024 (specific start date to be confirmed) - 2 months to credential
• Commitment Required: 4–6 shifts per month minimum
• Shift Structure:
• 24-hour physician coverage daily
• Flexible scheduling; day and night shifts available

Facility Highlights:

• 12 exam rooms equipped for full emergency services
• Expected volume: Over 8,000 patient visits annually
• EMR: Meditech P-doc with M-Modal Dictation
• Advanced onsite imaging: CT, Ultrasound, Radiology
• Patients requiring admission will be seamlessly transported to the main hospital, ensuring smooth transitions to inpatient care

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine – Required
• Active Florida Medical License – Required
• DEA certification – Required
• Must be willing to commit to at least 4–6 shifts per month
