Location: Bay Area (Hybrid – minimum 3 days onsite)

As a Senior AI Product Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in building these systems from the ground up. You’ll work on production-grade AI products that directly impact customers, owning everything from architecture through deployment and iteration.

The Role

This is a deeply technical, engineering-first role focused on building agentic AI systems within a live product environment .

You’ll operate within a small, focused team owning a specific domain, partnering closely with product while maintaining full engineering responsibility. This is not incremental feature work — it’s building the systems that will define how users interact with the product going forward.

Expect to spend the majority of your time coding and designing systems, with a strong emphasis on delivering scalable, production-ready solutions.

What You’ll Own

• End-to-end development of agentic AI systems, from concept to production
• System design and architecture for scalable, autonomous workflows
• Prompt engineering, orchestration, and agent behavior design
• Evaluation frameworks to measure performance, reliability, and accuracy
• Continuous iteration loops: diagnosing issues and improving system outcomes
• Shared platform components enabling consistent AI capabilities across products
• Collaboration across teams to ensure seamless, unified user experiences

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

• Proven experience building and deploying production-level, customer-facing agentic AI systems
• Deep understanding of the full agent lifecycle : prompting, orchestration, evaluation, debugging, and iteration
• Strong software engineering foundation (backend or full-stack) with hands-on AI development
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript
• Experience running structured evaluations and improving systems based on results
• Clear ownership mindset — able to articulate what you built, why you built it, and how you improved it
• Ability to think from a user perspective and design solutions accordingly

Experience Guidelines:

• Senior AI Product Engineer: 4–6 years
• Senior AI Product Engineer II: 6–8 years

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Familiarity with agent frameworks or orchestration tools (e.g., LangChain, Bedrock, or similar)
• Background in fast-paced, high-growth environments
