Position Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting department with daily financial management tasks, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role ensures accurate and timely recording of financial transactions to support decision-making and organizational goals.

This position requires a full-time, five-day on-site presence at our Coppell, Texas office. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate general ledger maintenance.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and adjustments.
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or variances.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Monitor and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documents.

Technical Skills Required

• 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, FP&A, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis cycles.
• Preparing recurring management reporting (monthly/quarterly/annual) and executive-ready materials.
• Building and maintaining financial models to support planning and business decisions.
• Partnering cross-functionally to align assumptions and performance drivers

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, squeeze, kneel, turn, crouch, stoop repeatedly.
• Physically able to lift 25 pounds.
• Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, heavy machinery, fumes, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, electrical, chemicals, and vibrations.
• Frequent use of computer screen.
