Podiatrist Opportunity at Evans Army Community Hospital

GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications from experienced Podiatrists for a future opportunity supporting Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado. This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award. Qualified candidates will be considered for employment upon contract award.

About the Opportunity

Join a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare team providing comprehensive podiatric care to active-duty service members, military retirees, and their families. This position offers the opportunity to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions while performing both clinical and surgical procedures in a military treatment facility.

Schedule

• Part-Time
• Monday-Friday
• 8 to 10-hour shifts
• Duty hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
• 30 or 60-minute unpaid lunch
• Not to exceed 40 hours per week
• No on-call

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic foot and ankle conditions
• Perform in-office podiatric procedures and surgical interventions within granted clinical privileges
• Develop individualized treatment plans for musculoskeletal, traumatic, and diabetic foot conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions as appropriate
• Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, preventive care, and post-operative recovery
• Document patient encounters accurately within the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, primary care providers, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen
• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from a CPME/APMA-accredited school of podiatric medicine
• Successful completion of an approved podiatric surgical residency
• Current, full, active, unrestricted license to practice Podiatric Medicine
• Minimum 24 months of independent clinical experience and demonstrated competency within the past 36 months
• Podiatric surgical activity logs covering the previous 24 months available for credentialing review
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS/ACLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Current American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) or American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM/formerly ABPOPPM) certification, or board eligible
• Active DEA registration

Preferred Qualifications

• Twenty-four (24) month podiatric surgical residency
• Experience treating active-duty military or athletic populations
• Reconstructive foot and ankle surgery experience
• Strong collaborative and patient education skills
