Quality EngineerKnowledge of statistical techniques line, SPC, capability studies, etc.Knowledge of customer specific requirementsResponsible for effectively communication information from customer scorecards to teamResponsible for effectively communicating information concerning scorecards to suppliersResponsible for auditing suppliers to standardsResponsible for completing supplier scorecardsMust have working knowledge of the core tools used to support the quality management system, including but not limited to, problem solving, product launches, and continuous improvement activities.Ability to perform PPAP and PFMEAMaintains document control system (if assigned)Responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of quality inspector/technician direct reports.Responsible for all supervisory responsibilities for direct reports (including timecards and disciplinary)May serve as the deputy for the quality manager as required and assigned for all quality-related responsibilitiesEffectively perform any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary and appropriate.Experience, competencies and educationAn experienced engineer with appropriate industry experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing field. An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. An individual with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus. A well organized and self-directed individual and a team player. An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. Bachelor's degree in (science or manufacturing engineering) a related field preferred with two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language skillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents and data, and then effectively communicate this information to any level of the organization.Physical demandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
