Creative Director

Our client, a leading event production and creative strategy agency, is seeking a Creative Director to lead the creative vision behind immersive brand experiences and high-profile live events. This individual will translate client objectives into compelling experiential concepts, leveraging both traditional creative expertise and emerging AI technologies to deliver innovative event experiences from pitch through execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative strategy and conceptual development for complex experiential marketing and live event projects.
  • Translate client business objectives into impactful visual storytelling and immersive event experiences.
  • Develop creative concepts, mood boards, guest journey visualizations, and presentation materials using Adobe Creative Suite and AI-powered design tools.
  • Ensure all physical and digital event touchpoints align with each client's brand identity and messaging.
  • Create dynamic, visually compelling client presentations that communicate creative vision and strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with production teams, vendors, and external creative partners to bring concepts to life while maintaining creative integrity, budget, and feasibility.
  • Incorporate innovative event technology, including lighting, LED displays, interactive experiences, and emerging digital solutions into creative concepts.
  • Utilize AI tools to accelerate ideation, concept development, copywriting, and creative storytelling.
  • Develop cohesive event themes, messaging frameworks, and attendee experiences across all communications.
  • Recommend sustainable design solutions that balance creativity, functionality, and environmental responsibility.
  • Oversee creative execution from initial brainstorming through onsite event implementation.
  • Brief and coordinate freelance designers, illustrators, motion artists, and visualization specialists as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in experiential marketing, event production, creative agencies, or experience-driven environments.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing concept development and execution of live, hybrid, or experiential events.
  • Proven ability to independently lead projects from initial concept through onsite execution.
  • Expert-level PowerPoint skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience with AI creative tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL·E, Gemini, Claude, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with 3D visualization software such as SketchUp, Rhino, or related programs is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of branding, typography, color theory, spatial design, and environmental storytelling.
  • Knowledge of event production technologies including lighting, LED displays, audiovisual systems, and interactive experiences.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and client-facing skills with the ability to present creative concepts to executive stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
